CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
Scott Marrs, Chief Financial Officer, provides 29 years of experience to Orthopedic Care Partners (OCP) with a focus on senior financial management for healthcare services. His expertise in private equity dealings is fundamental to fueling the growth of OCP.
Orthopedic Care Partners is one of the largest private equity-backed orthopedic platforms in the U.S. It is the holding company for The Orthopaedic Institute, Florida, The Steadman Clinic, Colorado, and other affiliated practices. As Chief Financial Officer, Scott is responsible for the overall financial management of the company. He keeps OCP’s entire leadership team aware of the company’s financial health. He also collaborates with the rest of the organization to optimize productivity and cash flow.
The self-described most important aspect of Scott’s job as CFO is helping physicians see the value of joining OCP beyond basic finances. One component of this is helping physicians improve their performance beyond what they were capable of historically, improving patient outcomes.
Before joining OCP, Scott was the Director of Finance for the largest division of MCare, where he was responsible for the financial management of over a billion dollars worth of practices. He also worked as a consultant for four years, advising private equity clients on how to integrate accounting systems and other financial transaction processes when buying and consolidating practices to drive value.
Scott received his bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Tampa and passed the CPA examination. When he’s not working, Scott enjoys traveling and volunteering in his church and community with his wife and two teenage boys. In his spare time, he is working to revive his hobby of flying airplanes.
