John Chapman

President, OCP Central Division

John Chapman initially joined OCP in January 2023 as the COO for the OCP Central Division. Working with the President, he focused on operational enhancements to drive strategic initiatives aimed at improving organizational efficiencies and profitability.

In July 2024, John transitioned into the role of Interim President for the Central Division. He brings with him more than 20 years of experience in the healthcare arena, covering both clinical and operational facets.

John’s healthcare journey began on the clinical side as an Athletic Trainer. He spent five years in Athletic Training, with his final three years at Froedtert Sports Medicine in Milwaukee, where he worked with physicians for the Milwaukee Brewers, US Speedskating (short track), Milwaukee Ballet, and Wisconsin Lutheran College. From Froedtert, he transitioned into leadership roles within the healthcare arena, working with institutions like BJC Medical Group and SSM Health Medical Group in Wisconsin and Missouri. John then moved from the outpatient to the inpatient arena of healthcare when he joined Sound Physicians. There, he managed a portfolio of 13 hospitals, overseeing hospitalist, critical care, and emergency medicine accounts across Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, and Iowa.

Before joining OCP, John was with Mercy GoHealth Urgent Care, where he was accountable for 38 urgent care centers across Missouri, Arkansas, and Oklahoma. During his time with MGH, John reorganized the clinical trainer program across his three states to better meet the needs of expanding clinics.

John is a graduate of the University of South Dakota, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Recreational Therapy with a Minor in Athletic Training. He received his Master’s in Public Administration from Drake University.

John and his family reside in Lake St. Louis, Missouri. They enjoy attending their children’s sporting events and traveling.
