Michael Van Atter, Orthopedic Care Partner’s Chief Financial Officer, is an accomplished financial professional who is responsible for leading OCP’s financial strategy, encompassing financial planning and analysis, revenue cycle management, accounting, and tax strategy.

With over 15 years of healthcare knowledge, Mike brings a variety of multi-site healthcare experiences across different clinical specialties and markets. Most recently, he has served as Chief Financial Officer at PM Pediatrics, a pediatric urgent care provider with 80+ sites across 14 states that also provides telemedicine and behavioral health services. During Mike’s tenure, the company added 15+ sites through acquisitions and de novos, optimized their revenue cycle operations, and significantly modernized the corporate financial organization leading to consistent improvements in profitability.

Prior to PM Pediatrics, Mike previously served as Chief Financial Officer at other multi-site healthcare organizations including Marathon Health and Vein Clinics of America. In his tenures as Chief Financial Officer, he supported organizations in finance, accounting, treasury, revenue cycle, payer strategy, and corporate development. Earlier in his career, Mike held senior leadership positions in operations, strategy, finance, and corporate development at Surgical Care Affiliates, a national ambulatory surgery center management company, where he managed financial operations for over 50 surgery centers across multiple states and led strategic partnerships and client service development initiatives. Additionally, he started as a consultant with ZS Associates, where he focused on advising clients on commercialization and operational excellence in the medical device and services industries.His academic credentials include an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a Math degree from the University of Waterloo.
